For the fifteenth year in a row it’s time for Styrsö Chamber Music Festival in Styrsö church in the Gothenburg south archipelago. The festival runs on 5-7 August and offers four concerts with Styrsö Chamber Soloists that will break boundaries in terms of both new sounds and concert forms.

This year’s soloists are baroque soprano Anna Jobrant and concert pianist Martin Sturfält. This year’s festival composer Catharina Backman and a premiere of our composer is promised during the festival.

Styrsö Chamber Soloists consists of professional musicians from the Gothenburg Symphony, but also musicians from the rest of Sweden. We have every summer since 2002 met a few days on Styrsö to make music together. During these years the ensemble has played many of the great chamber music works and also challenged the audience with more unknown music and premieres.
