Add to calendar
Meet soprano Olivia Warburton who reads Wallace Stevens magic poem The Snow Man and reflects on George Benjamin’s musical, atmospheric setting of this winter landscape.

Conductor Finnegan Downie Dear adds his on thoughts, and why he thinks Ravel’s Ma mère l’oye is such a wonderful companion to Benjamin. To include Webern’s sparse Variations is a real bonus for Downie Dear, who considers it “one of the great German masterworks”.
