Charles Ives Three Places in New England

Three Places in New England is one of the most popular works by the American composer Charles Ives.

It contains several elements typical of Ives: different melodies played simultaneously, musical quotes and rich chords.  The work is a musical picture of American life in the early 20th century, effervescent and vital. This is a listening experience out of the ordinary – Charles Ives the eccentric refused to follow any conventions what-so-ever!
