Due to the stricter restrictions, we can only welcome a limited audience to the concerts in the Great Hall in January. This means that all tickets to this concert will be redeemed, including seats purchased by subscription. Here you will find more information about this. Instead, we offer you to buy a ticket to the limited audience seats that are for sale right now.

The Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra shows its best sides together with chief conductor Santtu-Matias Rouvali. Join the world of fairy tales and Rimsky-Korsakov’s exotic and breathtakingly colorful Sheherazade from A Thousand and One Nights, and experience the beauty of Richard Strauss’ Vier letzte Lieder, which in text and music are reconciled with life itself.

More light-hearted music meets in Nielsen’s effervescent overture to Maskarade – it is, after all, the beginning of a comic opera with a story by Holberg! All three works are magnificently written for orchestra and show the astonishing sounds that are hidden in an assembly of skilled musicians. In addition, R Strauss’s Vier Letzte Lieder, “The Last Four Songs”, with soprano Marjukka Tepponen!
