Singing Swans

Add to calendar
LIVESTREAM Friday 15 Februari 18.00 CET
Sibelius’ fifth symphony is one of his most popular, even though it was created under dramatic circumstances, during the First World War.

Worry about the war, creative angst, and a troublesome private life – booze, tobacco, debt – placed obstacles in the way. In spite of all this, it became a wondrously beautiful creation, inspired by the singing swans in the Finnish archipelago.

Percussionist Martin Grubinger is a celebrated star in Europe, an artist that people come from far and wide to experience.
