Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra’s chief conductor Santtu-Matias Rouvali has a fondness for everything Russian: music, literature and sports.

So when he takes on Tchaikovsky’s Fourth symphony, he is hundred percent committed. Tchaikovsky pondered a great deal on the power of fate over man’s painful life. The fourth symphony, his “fate symphony”, became the first of the masterpieces where he could completely express his emotions, and you’re invited to share them.
