This night young pianist Isata Kanneh-Mason steps into the spotlight with Clara Schumann’s a dazzlingly beautiful piano concerto, composed when she was just 16. The music bubbles with youthful energy and rumbles here like a spring flood together with the Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra. The piece was first performed 1835 by the famous Gewandhaus Orchestra and Felix Mendelssohn, with Schumann herself as a soloist.

The concert also offers joyful and picturesque orchestral music – Roman Carnival by Berlioz and Fontane di Roma by Respighi. All under the direction of Italian Daniela Musca on the podium. Musca has conducted the Hessisches Staatsorchester in Wiesbaden, the Lindenbrass brass ensemble of the Staatskapelle Berlin, Brandenburger Symphoniker, Belgian Chamber Philharmonic, HR Symphony Orchestra and the Frankfurt Opera and Museum Orchestra, among other orchestra.
