During his years as chief conductor, he was among other things involved and inaugurated the Concert Hall in 1935 and made the orchestra&#8217;s first record recordings.<\/p>\n<p>Mann cherished the tradition after Wilhelm Stenhammar and made a great impression with Berwald, Sibelius and Nielsen. He was appreciated for his &#8220;detail-conscious but holistic interpretations&#8221;. After leaving Gothenburg, he became chief conductor of the Radio Symphony Orchestra until 1959.
