Event has already taken place

Five women – five musicians – five expressions. On instruments that have been – or are – forbidden, chastised or controversial for women to play in their native countries; or from debated female artists. This performance is filled with musical joy and strong narratives.

A concert that ties together music history, music cultures, gender norms, freedom of speech, resistance and love of music. The members originate from Iraq, Argentine, Sweden, Palestine, Denmark and Senegal.

The show is produced by Vara Concert Hall and the concert is a part of the Planeta Festival.
