Art in the Concert Gall Carl Nielsen

The Danish composer Carl Nielsen depicted in white marble by his wife Anne Marie Carl-Nielsen (1863-1945). The sculpture is in the Götaplats foyer. Nielsen is usually regarded as Denmark's national composer, in the same way as Grieg in Norway, Alfvén in Sweden and Sibelius in Finland.

Anne Marie Carl-Nielsen (1863-1945)

Painter and sculptor. Wife of Carl Nielsen. Created during his lifetime up to 1000 sculptural works of art. Among other things, she has performed the large equestrian statue depicting Christian IX, at Christiansborg Ridbana in Copenhagen.
