The Cloakroom Hall is the first space you encounter as you step through the doors of Gothenburg Concert Hall. It is a flexible and atmospheric space that can be transformed to take on an entirely new character.
When the Cloakroom Hall becomes a concert venue, the music comes close. It creates a relaxed and intimate atmosphere, with room for unexpected musical encounters and new ways to experience the Concert Hall. A space you thought you knew can suddenly become something entirely different – a stage filled with music, presence and creativity.

The Gothenburg Concert Hall
Architect Nils Einar Eriksson’s stylish functionalism from 1935, the beautiful, natural materials, the acoustics of the halls, and the food in the restaurant make a visit to the Gothenburg Concert Hall an experience for all your senses.
Beautiful rooms for beautiful experiences
The concerts are played in the Great Hall, a magnificent room world-famous for its fine acoustics, and the more intimate Stenhammar Hall, decorated with beautiful intarsia. Sometimes the Götaplats foyer and the Cloakroom also turn into venues.
