In Gothenburg we have our own international piano competition since 3 years now. The Gothenburg Piano Festival itself with concerts, educational activities and lectures was founded by the concert pianist and mentor/educator Helena Ha-Young Sul in 2010 and the Festival has taken place in Gothenburg every year.
Gothenburg’s international piano competition invites young pianists and we have the pleasure of being part of an exciting final round with selected young pianists from all over the world. We get to know a wide range of piano music, mainly within the classical repertoire. This year, the semi-final was a selection by video recording where we selected the finalists.
