Where Western influences meet South American rhythms, the Gutiérrez brothers craft their own unique musical landscape.
Information from the organizer:
Endless horizons, a road trip through the desert along a hot, dry highway beneath a clear blue sky. The minimalist instrumental music of Hermanos Gutiérrez paints vivid pictures, making it impossible not to be swept away. Rooted in the reverb-soaked guitar sound that Ennio Morricone once popularized through his film scores in the 1970s, while blending influences from South American music of the 1950s, the Zurich-based duo succeeds in bringing their perfect fusion firmly into the present day.
The deep bond between brothers Estevan and Alejandro Gutiérrez is reflected in their seamless interplay, as they alternately take on the roles of rhythm and melody with their respective guitars. And although their music contains no vocals, it still sings.
Earlier this year, the duo released their seventh studio album, Los Ojos Del Cóndor, and in March next year they will return to Sweden for concerts in both Gothenburg and Stockholm. On 19 March, they will perform at Gothenburg Concert Hall, followed by a concert at Cirkus in Stockholm on 24 March.
Tickets go on sale on Friday, 9 October at 10:00 AM via Luger.se.
