Information from Farhang förening:

Through the ancient Persian storytelling tradition of Naqqali, live music and evocative dance, we follow Kay Khosrow’s journey from ascending the throne and ruling justly to the struggle to deliver justice after the murder of his father, the legendary Prince Siyavash.
But the story is about more than heroic deeds and kingdoms. Like his father Siyavash, Kay Khosrow is faced with a crucial choice: to follow the path of power and revenge or to seek a higher form of justice. Despite his military successes and his position as a ruler, he ultimately chooses to renounce his crown and leave worldly power behind. His path becomes a story of the courage to choose peace over conquest, freedom over domination and wisdom over glory.
On stage, five musicians, a traditional storyteller and two dancers collaborate in a poetic and powerful scenic work. Traditional Persian sounds meet movement and storytelling in a performance where words, music and body language are woven together to create a holistic experience.
The performance is based on an idea and musical vision by the prominent tanbur player and composer Keyvan Kianian. Through newly written music and artistic expression, a meeting is opened between the ancient wisdom of the Persian storytelling tradition and our contemporary questions of power, responsibility, peace and human dignity.
Kay Khosrow’s Path is a holistic scenic experience where music, poetry, dance and storytelling are united in a timeless story about man’s search for truth, justice and inner freedom.
