The legendary kamancheh master Kayhan Kalhor returns to Sweden for two exclusive concerts in Stockholm and Gothenburg.
Information from Farhang Förening:
Kalhor is one of the most celebrated and influential musicians in Persian classical music of our time. With his masterful playing of the kamancheh and his many international collaborations, he has touched audiences all over the world. His music unites tradition, improvisation and storytelling in a way that transcends cultural and geographical boundaries.
This time he is surrounded by three outstanding musicians: setar virtuoso Kiya Tabassian, masterful backing vocalist Hiwa Khatib and charismatic singer Hadi Hosseini. Together they create a musical encounter where the rich heritage of Persian music is given new life through interaction, improvisation and artistic immersion.
The concert offers a journey through moods, stories and sounds that have developed over centuries, but which at the same time speak directly to our own time. Here experience and renewal, mastery and spontaneity meet, in a concert filled with presence, beauty and musical magic.
A rare opportunity to experience four outstanding musicians on the same stage.
