With her deep musicality and scenic charisma, violinist Nicola Benedetti has reached a position as one of the leading soloists in classical music.

At this eagerly awaited return to Gothenburg she brings forth American jazz musician Wynton Marsalis’ wonderfully blues-spiced Violin Concerto, composed for Nicola Benedetti. In January, she and conductor Cristian Macelaru received a Grammy in the category “Best Classical Instrumental Solo”, for their effort in this particular violin concerto. The award-winning album also includes the work Fiddle Dance Suite, which she performed during the awards ceremony.
