The international music camp Side by Side ends its festival Tuesday with a grand concert in the Concert Hall’s main hall. There will be a string orchestra, wind orchestra and symphony orchestra – welcome to a really intense musical experience!

The participants in WIND & STRING ORCHESTRA offer an extensive program of music for both string, wind and symphony orchestras, all in the same concert! We are treated to languorous beautiful tones from Bach and Svendsen, and music by both Grieg and Brahms. In addition, there will be heroic tunes in John Williams’s The Olympic Spirit and in the soundtrack from Captain Marvel!

The wind orchestra and symphony orchestra are conducted by Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra’s own Marjolein Vermeeren and the string orchestra is led by Terje Skomeda.

The international music camp Side by Side is organized by Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra and is open to participants 6-23 years old. At Side by Side, children, and young people from all over the world gather to play and sing together, side by side with professional musicians. The camp promotes classical music and builds bridges between people, cultures, and continents.
