Göteborgs Konserthus VÄGUS Peer Gynt

You can go your own way – the message is clear in the tale of the rebel Peer Gynt. And Edvard Grieg’s music contains everything a tale should have. The Västra Götalands Ungdomssymfoniker gives you the whole story.

There is a weightlessness and swing in Grieg’s music that makes it go straight in. The hit songs from Peer Gynt are many: Anitra’s dance, Morgonstämning, Solveig’s song, In the Bergakungens sal. But you rarely get the chance to hear them all in their context.

Famous pieces or magnificent symphonies – in the hands of VÄGUS everything is performed with the unmistakable desire and energy that has become their special hallmark. The orchestra consists of around 80 young musicians from all over Västra Götaland aged 14-23, and for many, VÄGUS becomes a memory for life.
