Mahler: Symphony No 1
Enjoy the season opening from September 2026. And the evening ended with Gustav Mahler’s powerful Symphony No. 1, called Titan, in which he successfully bridged the romantic nineteenth century and early-twentieth-century modernism.
Transcending genres, Principal Guest Conductor and violinist Pekka Kuusisto works with jazz and folk music, sound artists and jugglers. His artistic integrity and ability to play with tradition have made him famous around the world. In 2026 he was inaugurated in the Royal Swedish Academy of Music. In his second season in partnership with the Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra, we can expect surprising changes and plenty of energy on stage.
