Event has already taken place. Beautiful music for evening, featuring Mozart in his best mood and an oboe concerto with notes of folk music, composed by songwriter Lille Bror Söderlundh. The soloist is Mårten Larsson and concertmaster Sara Trobäck conducts the Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra.
Violinist and concertmaster Sara Trobäck leads the Symphony Orchestra in beautiful music for evening. We hear Mozart in his best mood and an oboe concerto with notes of folk music, composed by songwriter Lille Bror Söderlundh. The soloist is Mårten Larsson.
The concert begins with Mozart’s beloved Eine kleine Nachtmusik (“A Little Night Music”), a timeless serenade that sparkles with joy and sophistication. Undoubtedly his best-known work of chamber music, it was composed in summer 1787 for strings alone and intended as evening entertainment.
Next, the Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra and solo oboist Mårten Larsson are front and centre in Lille Bror Söderlundh’s folk music-inspired Oboe Concertino. This work is filled with lyrical beauty and playful warmth, and highlights the unique character and expressive scope of the oboe.

After that, we hear Robert Schumann’s Abendlied (Evening Song), performed here in an arrangement for orchestra by Johan Svendsen. This reflective piece creates a peaceful atmosphere, evocative of the tender and peaceful calm of evening.
The programme concludes with Schubert’s Symphony No. 5 in B Major, a brilliant piece of music that respects his unmistakable melodic charm and which is also characterised by vitality and classical Viennese elegance.
