Hungarian Peter Eötvös knows Bartók like the back of his hand – his insightful and translucent interpretations of Bartók’s music makes many audience members catch their breath.

Here, he’ll interpret the one act opera about Bluebeard and his many wives, a bloody story, and lead the Swedish premiere of his own opera Senza Sangue, reflecting on murder and reconciliation.

This production of Bluebeard’s Castle is made in collaboration with the Bergen National Opera. Directed by: Eva Marie Melbye

Albane Carrère, mezzo-soprano, replaces Anne Sofie von Otter.
