Our classical lecture series brings us to the world’s biggest instrument: the organ. Hans Davidsson goes in depth on the magic of the bellows and the construction of the concert hall’s large organ. After the break, we will move from the Stenhammar Hall into the Great Hall to see the concert hall’s organ in all its splendour.

Learn more about classical music in the relaxed Tuesday lectures of the Classical Curiosity lecture series. Enjoy a wonderful blend of stories about the music, information about the composers, and reflections from the stage and salon. You will also have the chance to meet others who are curious about classical music.

Hans Davidsson, this evening’s lecturer, is an internationally active organist, church musician, researcher, author and consultant, as well as artistic director of the Gothenburg International Organ Academy.

Hams Davidsson står på Podiet och tittar upp mot orgelluckorna. Han ser väldigt liten ut.

Tuesday 17 March 2026: The event ends at approx. 20.00
