Göteborgs Konserthus Family concert: An evening of nostalgia

Gothenburg Jazz Orchestra is one of the most exciting movements in Swedish jazz right now. The big band has made a comet career and in a short time established itself at the highest level. In their love for music and jazz, they eagerly seek new expressions, attract collaborations with the best nationally and internationally and are happy to flirt across genre boundaries and with new formats. They often work with young music students and want to inspire and promote the rebirth among young people and more culture in society. Since 2024, they have played concerts on the first Monday of the month at Jazz at Park Lane - a short step from the Concert Hall.

Yankho Kamwendo debuted as a film actor in 2001 in the role of Theo in Festival. He has appeared in children's programs such as Lattjo Lajban and and in 2005 became host for Bolibompa on SVT. He has also had voice roles in films such as Ice Age 2 and in 2007 he played the lead role as Lennart in the TV series Leende guldbruna ögon. He has also been hosting for TV-skeppet and for Sommarlov 2010. In the spring of 2023, he was touring with the show Forever Young, which was performed for upper secondary school students with Regionteater Väst. At the Gothenburg Symphony, he has participated in performances such as Bubblor (2023) and the film music concert We know you like us (2022).
