Information from Göteborgs Konsertkör:
The return of spring has always inspired choirs to express joy and gratitude for the positive aspects of the changing seasons. The sun and warmth will return!
So too is the Gothenburg Concert Choir, which has been active for 30 years with two concerts each year.
Experienced choir singers perform alongside professional orchestra musicians and soloists under the direction of Matts Johansson, who is also the choir’s rehearsal conductor: a task he handles in a highly unconventional manner, contributing to laughter and camaraderie – which is of great importance for an amateur choir with such dedication and high ambitions.
Pjotr Tjajkovskij – Serenad för stråkar, sats 2
Johannes Brahms – Liebeslieder Walzer
Joseph Haydn – Årstiderna – Våren
Paus
Edvard Grieg – Preludium till Holbergsviten
