When the Gothenburg city’s anniversary work began, an idea collection from the citizens was made. There the idea of a “Gothia Cup of music” appeared. Now Gothenburg Symphony realizes the idea and Side by Side by El Sistema Sweden – an international orchestra and choir camp – grows year by year. The camp was performed for the fifth time in June 2018 with over 1800 participants from many different countries that played and sang together with Gothenburg Symphony.
