Playful, sizzling and full of Nordic cool with Norwegian saxophonist and composer Marius Neset’s quintet and Swedish-Danish cellist Andreas Brantelid. Magic that’s not to be missed!

‘He makes his instrument dance like a gazelle and soar like an eagle, and he’s an ingenious composer too.’ That’s how British The Telegraph described celebrated saxophonist Marius Neset. Last time he visited the Gothenburg Concert Hall was with E.S.T Symphony. This evening, he’ll perform with world-famous cellist Andreas Brantelid.

Norwegian saxophonist and composer Marius Neset, and Swedish-Danish cellist Andreas Brantelid are some of the best musicians of their generation, and both work across the world. Here, they meet in a rare, genre-crossing collaboration that opens new tonal worlds between jazz and classical.

It’s playful, sizzling, and full of Nordic cool at the same time. Prague’s Ballet on Marius Neset Quintet’s latest, internationally praised album, Circle of Chimes, gives a taste of what awaits:
