As early as the 1960s, Dr Lonnie Smith astonished the world. Today, he is a virtuoso Hammond organ player and a living legend who, at 73 years of age, is still developing.

This always relevant “groove master” has his roots in gospel, blues, jazz and R&B. He has performed  with numerous famous musicians and played on more than 70 albums over the years. His latest album is fittingly entitled Evolution (Blue Note).
