Come in from the autumn darkness and experience a unique organ concert that offers light and warmth. We repeat the concert success from 2024 where organist Hans Davidsson performs in the company of dancers Natalie Ogonek and Gabriel Davidsson.
We hear the rich, powerful and sometimes poetic organ music by Bach, Mendelssohn and the French symphonic masters Widor and Vierne. It is contrasted with songs by Mahler and Handel performed by warm mezzo-soprano Maria Forsström.
Dancers Natalie Ogonek and Gabriel Davidsson are internationally active dance artists and members of the Davidsson Organ and Dance Collaborative, who enrich the concert with dance and improvisation in several works.
Let the vibrations from the concert hall organ’s 9,000 pipes dispel the darkness and awaken and prepare your body.
The concert is a collaboration with Göteborg International Organ Festival which runs 8-19 October and welcomes guests of all ages to a world of passion and sound. Numerous major musicians will be holding workshops and concerts at the Gothenburg Concert Hall and in Gothenburg’s biggest churches.
The concert will be filmed by Gothenburg Organ Academy.
