Internationally acclaimed Anna von Hausswolff takes over the Concert Hall’s large organ in a unique solo programme. Hear works from the theatre and stage for organ, woodwinds and electronic instruments, all with von Hausswolff’s distinctive sense of atmosphere.
Gothenburg musician Anna von Hausswolff has taken the music world by storm with her avant-garde pop. Her latest album, Iconoclasts, was celebrated as one of the best albums of 2025.
She is now presenting her organ music in an instrumental concert. Here, she performs music from her albums All Thoughts Fly and The Lower Depths – the former of which was inspired by the Italian sculpture park Sacro Bosco, and recorded on the Baroque organ in Örgryte New Church. The latter was written for the Royal Dramatic Theatre show Natthärbärget (“The Lower Depths”).

The arrangements are by Anna von Hausswolff, Filip Leyman and avant-garde saxophone player Otis Sandsjö. With three organists and three woodwinds, as well as sound processing and electronics, the pieces are presented in a surround system. Together with the 9,000 vibrating pipes of the Concert Hall organ, this will be an experience beyond the ordinary with a world-class artist.
“Music that is solemn, echo-laden, heavy on the drone of her beloved pipe organ and fully deserving of the adjective gothic.”
