With a unique voice, brilliant lyrics and piano-driven melodies, Frida Hyvönen has been one of the most influential artists on the Swedish pop scene for over a decade.

Last autumn she released her fourth full-length album, also her first sung in Swedish. The album ”Women and children” (Kvinnor och barn) is a collection of strong stories, told with unerring lyrics and dramatic soundscapes. ”Women and children” has been received with great warmth by unanimous critics and is already predicted a future classic.

At this concert, Frida Hyvönen performs songs from the album, in new orchestral arrangements played by the Gothenburg Symphony conducted by Hans Ek.
