Welcome to the international music camp Side by Side and a concert experience bursting with joy, warmth, and energy! Open Choir opens the camp’s final day by filling Götaplats foyer with song, music, and a contagious sense of community.

At Open Choir in Concert, you’ll experience children and young people who, side by side with professional musicians, sing and play with such enthusiasm that it’s impossible not to be swept up and feel happy yourself. Open Choir is an inclusive choir, specially designed for young participants with disabilities and those needing extra support. The repertoire is playful and lively, and every participant gets the chance to shine in their own way.

The international music camp Side by Side is organized by Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra and open to participants 7-23 years old. Side by Side creates meeting places where children and young people from different cultures and backgrounds can sing and play together, side by side with professional musicians. The camp promotes classical music and works for tolerance, cooperation, and equality.

Open Choir is an inclusive choir, specially designed for young participants with disabilities and those needing extra support. The repertoire is playful and lively, and every participant gets the chance to shine in their own way. The concert is the result of camp days filled with laughter and musical discoveries, where everyone gets to participate and contribute to the magical atmosphere.

Behind the choir stands the experienced and inspiring leader Magnus Marchinkowski Pettersson. Under his playful and inclusive leadership, rehearsals become joyful meetings where every participant can grow and feel seen. So come and let yourself be infected by the joy and energy that only Open Choir can offer. This is the concert that will make you smile – and maybe even sing along!
