The sports holiday orchestra is formed in week 7 every year, and consists of young people aged 14 – 19. The week finale is their very own concert in the Gothenburg concert hall’s Great Hall.
Musicians from the Gothenburg Symphony coach the young musicians during rehearsals with conductor Thord Svedlund. For many, the sports break orchestra is their first experience of playing in a symphony orchestra. Many choose to return year after year.
