Extend the summer with the Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra Live at the Gothenburg Concert Hall during the Gothenburg Culture Festival! Conductor Holly Hyun Choe leads the Gothenburg Symphony in a delightful afternoon of classical masterpieces from the world of film.

We will hear the beloved piano concerto called Elvira Madigan, famous from the film of the same name. Mozart wrote it as number 21 of his piano concertos. The soloist is the Symphony Orchestra’s own pianist Juan Zurutuza. In addition, the suite from the film about Robin Hood, an adventure in the classic 1930s style where Errol Flynn played the main role. The original music earned Korngold an Oscar.

34-year-old Holly Hyun Choe from South Korea has made a name for herself with some of Europe’s leading orchestras and has participated in Gustavo Dudamel’s mentorship programme. She was recently appointed Chief Conductor of the Norwegian Radio Orchestra (KORK) and now visits Gothenburg for the very first time.
