Information from Gothenburg Concert Choir:
The Gothenburg Concert Choir, with its 150 singers, begins the Christmas season this year singing in an all-inclusive, ecumenical spirit for people’s right to live in peace, respectful of all differences. We start the concert with atmospheric Christmas carols and organ music. After an appeal to God to hear our prayer, we will perform The Armed Man: A Mass for Peace to emphasize our message.

Matts Johansson – choirmaster and conductor
Also active as a singer, pianist, violinist, arranger and teacher. Has worked with rehearsals in the Gothenburg Concert Choir since 2014 and as artistic director and conductor since 2018.
Ann-Kristin Jones – mezzo soprano
Member of the Gothenburg Opera’s soloist ensemble. In the spring of 2025, Ann-Kristin Suzuki sang in Puccini’s Madame Butterfly and is currently singing the title role in Rossini’s Cinderella.
Samuel Eriksson – organist
Music director at Kristus Konungens Church in Gothenburg, as well as freelance organist in Sweden and the United Kingdom. Accompanist for the Swedish Chamber Choir on SR P2 on several occasions.
Katarina A. Karlsson – presenter
She has a PhD in musical performance and is active as a composer, arranger and choirmaster. As a music journalist, she has worked for many years for Swedish Radio, the Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra, the Gothenburg Opera and Berwaldhallen.
