From Mali comes singer Habib Koite & Bassekou Kouyate who plays guitar and the string instrument ngoni. Their music is full of beautiful rhythms and the band has a marvellous groove. Habib Koite’s unique vocal style has captured a giant audience, including the viewers of the David Letterman show. An unforgettable evening is guaranteed.

Habib Koite & Bassekou Kouyate know each other since the 80’s. Back in the days they played together in the “Tourmani Diabete’s Symmetric Orchestra”, where they developed a great admiration for each other’s music. Over time, both artists became very successful on their own, belonging to Africa’s most appreciated musicians. They inspired the audience at international festivals and also appeared at the most prestigious concert halls worldwide.

Time has now come that these exceptional artists can fulfill their long-cherished dream: In 2018, they are going to present a mixture of their best songs, as well as new songs, written specially for this occasion, to show audiences worldwide how Malian music can sound like. They will be accompanied by five Malian musicians they both know for a long time.
