The Norwegian Vertavo String Quartet have been sought after for some time now, following previous successful performances at the Gothenburg Concert Hall.

This time, the gentlemen Haydn and Beethoven – two acknowledged masters of the genre – are placed alongside the neglected Clara Schumann and Elfrida Andrée, who both happily wrote in this smaller format. Clara Schumann’s Three Romances has a nostalgic tone, while Elfrida Andrée’s string quartet from 1861 is the essence of the romanticism of the 1800s. An rare occasion to hear rare music.
