Event has already taken place. Gothenburg Symphony, Konrad Von Abel Conductor, Jun Sasaki Cello.
Max Bruch’s Kol nidrei, inspired by Jewish prayers and songs, has been tended to tenderly by cellists all over the world since the première in Berlin in 1881. This time, the Gothenburg Symphony’s alternating principal Jun Sasaki gives his version of this eternal favourite.
Conductor is Konrad von Abel who works from inside the music, catches vital details, and releases energies that create a natural flow in his interpretations, amply demonstrated in Mozart’s “Haffner Symphony” and Brahms’ Symphony No 2.
