Singer Youn Sun Nah and guitarist Ulf Wakenius, two world stars who let the moment rule. Two individualists with the world as their field of work. Both virtuosos who make the music fly freely. Jazz, French chanson, rock – nothing is foreign to them.
Ulf Wakenius is the super guitarist that the legendary pianist Oscar Petersen handpicked for his quartet. Equally at home in bebop and swing as fusion and rock, he knows no musical boundaries.
Youn Sun Nah is the South Korean who traveled to Paris to become a musical artist but discovered jazz and took the chance to try her pop wings. She lifts the text of a song as freely as she juggles the notes in a wordless jazz improvisation.
Together they offer everything from American standards via Korean folk songs to well-chosen rock classics.
