First Aid Kit have enjoyed great success with their dreamlike Americana. Now they perform songs from their album Stay Gold in symphonic arrangements together with the Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra, with concerts in both Gothenburg and London. The conductor is Erik Arvinder.
The Swedish duo continue to take the music world by storm with their blend of Americana and cool, understated pop. With more than one billion streams and two BRIT Award nominations, First Aid Kit have drawn fans far beyond Sweden’s borders. Sisters Johanna and Klara Söderberg celebrate over 15 years on stage together and have five albums to their name.
Now they bring songs from their epic album Stay Gold (2014) – brimming with emotion and crystal-clear harmonies, with their feet firmly planted in leather boots. Together with the Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra and the duo’s outstanding band, we hear a host of favourites in irresistible arrangements. The Orchestra is conducted by Erik Arvinder – multi-instrumentalist, arranger and conductor – who has worked with artists including Avicii, John Legend, Galantis and deadmau5.
An indulgent evening awaits, filled with soaring harmonies, sweeping strings and powerful brass on a grand scale.
The concert will also be performed at the Royal Albert Hall in London on 29 September.
