Elgar: Enigmavariationerna

Enjoy Edward Elgar’s beloved Enigma Variations, a series of portraits of the composer’s friends and loved ones, variations on the same musical theme. The work ranges from playful charm to a more ceremonious and noble style, such as in the renowned Variation No. 9, Nimrod. The piece reveals Elgar’s deep ability to evoke character and emotion in his music.
