A carnival is in town and you’re invited! Principal Guest Conductor Barbara Hannigan opens the season with musical fireworks. Like in a whirlwind, we move through the festive program for the evening to the musical Carousel, composed by Richard Rogers and named the 20th century’s biggest musical by Time Magazine. The incredibly beautiful waltz in the introduction spans the entire emotional spectrum.
