Genesis means beginning, and it is also the title of the Book of Genesis. In clarinettist Martin Fröst’s latest project, Hildegard von Bingen’s meditative music is juxtaposed against Anders Hillborg’s urban sound – a time span of 900 years! The concert begins with Mozart’s restless Overture to Le nozze di Figaro and Beethoven’s playful fourth symphony.

Or as Martin Fröst says: “We start with the roots of the music and explore how through them we can open a new musical door to the future.” As in the predecessor, Dollhouse, Martin Fröst is the conductor, soloist and guide in this visually and musically intriguing performance.
