The international music camp Side by Side by El Sistema offers a grand repertoire for string orchestra, wind orchestra and symphony orchestra. All during one and the same concert.
Welcome to a concert experience beyond the ordinary! Wind and string orchestra is a string orchestra, a wind orchestra, and a symphony orchestra, all in one! Here you can enjoy a mix of classic pieces and modern film and game music. The concert also offers a premiere of The Adventurous Kid by Martin Salomonsson. Conducted by the Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra’s own Marjolein Vermeeren.
Wind & String in Concert is followed by Early & Folk in Concert out in Götaplatsfoajén and your ticket is valid for both concerts.
Side by Side is organized by Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra and is an important part of Gothenburg’s 400th anniversary celebration. For a few splendid June days every year, young people from around the world gather to sing and play orchestral music together, side by side with professional musicians. The camp promotes classical music while counteracting segregation in all its forms and building bridges between people, cultures, and continents.

Lunch Concert in Högskolan för scen och musik with the youngest participants from the international music camp Side by Side by El Sistema. Admission free, limited number of seats.
An exciting musical journey through time and space with participants from the music camp Side by Side. Folk and world music are mixed with notes from the Renaissance and the Middle Ages.
A wonderful lunch concert with more than 250 choir singers from the music camp Side by Side. There will be both famous choir classics and pop as well as completely newly written songs!
An inspiring experience in magical Götaplatsfoajén together with the children and youth from the music camp Side by Side.
A classical concert that concludes the music camp Side by Side, where the camp's most advanced participants show off their skills side by side with Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra.
