In February every year, young musicians aged 10-19 gather in Gothenburg’s Konserthus and form the popular Sportlovsorkester. Come and listen and share the magical feeling of classical music with young people – this year with Pirates of the Caribbean, Bach, Captain Marvel, Sjostakovitj and Carmen on the programme.
Conductors and artistic directors for the Sportlov Orchestra are Marjolein Vermeeren, conductor and flutist in the Gothenburg Symphony, and Ron Davis Alvarez, Gothenburg-based award-winning pedagogue and conductor with assignments all over the world and known as artistic director of the Side by Side music camp.
