The duo starts in Vienna, but soon move on to Paris in a programme that shows both inquisitiveness and versatility.

From Schubert’s great fantasy for the violin and piano, and musical miniatures by the talented but too early departed Lili Boulanger, to Cesar Franck’s arch-romantic violin sonata that is said to have inspired Marcel Proust in a decisive passage of his great novel “In Search of Lost Time”. And that could just as well be the title of this concert with two musicians of note: the violinist Christian Svarfvar and the pianist Roland Pöntinen.
