Plavi Orkestar is one of the kings of Bosnian folk rock. In the former Yugoslavia, Sarajevo was the center for the Yugoslav rock music and in this culture the band was formed. Eight albums, 3,500 concerts and 33 years later the cult band Plavi Orkesta still fill venues and gives the audience unforgettable concerts.

Plavi Orkestar (The Blue Orchestra) was founded in 1983 by singer Saša Lošić, today better known solve. Besides him, the band consists today of Admir Ćeremida (drums), Samir Ćeremida (bass) and Saša Zalepugin (electric guitar). As the opening act for established groups such as Riblja Čorba and Leb i Sol Plavi Orkestar began his musical journey and became popularly known as the Bosnian Beatles.

The big breakthrough came with the album Soldatski Bal which contained the hits Suada, Medena Curice, Odlazi nam raja and Bolje Biti pijan nego star. The following year they released their second album Fašizmu Smrt (Death to Fascism) which also became a huge success. The last record – Sedam – was released in 2015.

The concert is part of Riksteaterns December festival, including a concert with Turkish Göksel in the Gothenburg Concert Hall and a concert with Kiosk – the Iranian underground rock scene’s pioneers – playing at Stora Teatern.
