The Fall Break Choir

Every year during the autumn school break, young singers and musicians from western Sweden get together in Gothenburg Concert Hall. The course is designed to help you develop your technical and stage skills under the guidance of professional singers and teachers. The much anticipated finale for the Fall Break Choir is a concert in the Stora Salen main auditorium, where the choir and orchestra are led by Simon Kim Phipps. The majority of participants are in the age group 14-22 years.

The Sports Holiday Orchestra

Every year in February, young orchestra musicians aged 14-19 gather in the Concert Hall for a rewarding musical experience. During the rehearsals, the participants are coached by musicians from the Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra as they become acquainted with the classical symphonic repertoire and develop their skills together. The conductors, Ron Davies Alvarez and Marjolein Vermeeren, make sure that every last detail is fine tuned prior to the grand finale – a concert in the Stora Salen main auditorium.
