Frequently asked questions

Here you will find the answers to the most common questions we get right now, as well as supplements to our general terms of purchase in connection with the pandemic.

Many people are in contact with the Ticket Office right now, and we are sorry that it can take an extra long time to get an answer. Here you find the Ticket Office’s opening hours.

Adaptations

How do you adapt the visits in the concert hall?

For us, it is important that you feel safe and secure when you visit our events. Here we have gathered information about the adaptations we make when we welcome a larger audience again. Of course, we put the audience’s security first and adapt continuously to the Swedish Public Health Agency’s recommendations, decisions from the Västra Götaland region and how the corona pandemic develops in the world.

How big are the salons in October-December?

We can finally welcome a larger audience to the Concert hall again. The return to larger salons is done gradually by caring for both the audience and staff. The salon sizes in October-December are:

  • Stora salen: 850 seats
  • Stenhammarsalen: 280 seats
  • Fikastråket: 70 places
  • Relaxed Performance: 50 seats

Of course, concert visits must continue to be as safe and secure as possible.

Book ticket

Which concerts can I book a ticket to?

Here you will find a list of all the concerts for which we released the tickets.

When is the next planned ticket release?

The next ticket release is on 2 October 11.00, with 24h online priority booking for subscribers via the web profile. Then we release the single tickets for the autumn’s remaining concerts.

Subscriptions

Can I take a seat on my own chair from 29 September?

Yes, all audience restrictions and distance requirements was taken away from September 29. With that we will be able to welcome all subscribers back to their regular seats in the hall again.

Where can I find my web profile?

Here you will find more information about your web profile.

Why was my subscription seat in September canceled?

As the restrictions continued until 28 september and was not changed as previously announced, we were forced to adapt our maximun audience size. This meant that the placement in the halls was affected during this period and that the number of seats we had at our disposal was reduced. This affected the subscriptions in september where the number of audiences in the hall exceeded the maximum number of audiences (applies to all subscriptions except Classical Curiosity, Pioneer, World in the Concert Hall and Wednesday Small).

Since there are no fair ways to select the people who would be allowed to keep their seats or take a seat first in the salon, and we also had to let each individual decide if he or she felt safe to visit us after all, we redeemed all tickets. Instead, we offered online booking priority via the web profile to the limited audience seats in connection with the ticket releases.

We are so sorry that this affects you. Do not hesitate to contact us at the ticket office if you have any questions: +46(0)31-7265300, biljett@gso.se.

What if one or more concerts in my subscription are canceled?

If you have paid with a card on the website, the refund will be made to the same card you used at the time of purchase. If, on the other hand, you have paid for your subscription by bank transfer, the refund will be made in the form of a gift card.

You can use your gift card as a means of payment in the Concert Hall and at gso.se. If you have paid with a card on the website, the refund will be made to the same card you used at the time of purchase. Please note that sometimes it can take a while from the time we make the repurchase until the money is available in your account. We apologize for this, but it is beyond our control.

Why are events affected differently?

At the Gothenburg Concert Hall, we have both events arranged by the Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra and events where we rent out our facilities to external actors. The external actors’ events are beyond our control and the decisions about an event being canceled or moved forward are being decided by the external actors. The same applies with refunds. To get information about what exactly applies to your booking, please see the concert calendar.

Schools

How do you adapt the school visits?

School classes that visit us are met by hosts who help to keep distance between the groups in the foyer and place each class/group in a separate area in the concert hall. Several entrances to the concert hall are used to reduce the risk of meetings between schools/classes. Do not hesitate to contact us at the ticket office if you have any questions: +46(0)31-7265300, biljett@gso.se.

Can students eat a packed lunch in the Concert Hall?

No, right now it is not possible to eat a packed lunch in the Concert Hall.
