The international music camp Side by Side by El Sistema invites you on an exciting musical journey through time and space. This concert mixes folk and world music with notes from the Renaissance and the Middle Ages.
Welcome to finish Side by Side’s big festival night in style together with the tracks EARLY MUSIC and FOLK MUSIC, which offer captivating tones in beautiful Götaplatsfoajén with its magical panoramic windows. Under the direction of Anders Renberg, as well as Sofia Högstadius and Sten Källman, we get to enjoy music from all possible places and centuries!
Early & Folk in Concert follows Wind & String in Concert which is held inside Stora Salen and your ticket is valid for both concerts.
Side by Side is organized by Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra and is an important part of Gothenburg’s 400th anniversary celebration. For a few splendid June days every year, young people from around the world gather to sing and play orchestral music together, side by side with professional musicians. The camp promotes classical music while counteracting segregation in all its forms and building bridges between people, cultures, and continents.
