Video game music has become a mega industry. Like movie soundtracks, these richly orchestrated compositions are full of drama and leitmotifs. At this concert, organist Gunnar Idenstam presents his favourites from the world of movies and video games, including Battlefield, Black Hawk Down, Harry Potter and the suite from Legend of Zelda.
We also enjoy selections from Idenstam’s own composition Metal Angel, and Orff’s Carmina Burana. Prepare for an adventure in which the organ is both hero and conqueror, human and divine.
